Nanami collects the information you provide during sign-in (your name and email address via Google OAuth) and the insurance policy documents you choose to upload. We also extract structured policy data from those documents — things like policy numbers, coverage types, premium amounts, and renewal dates — and store that extracted data in your account.
We collect standard usage data (page visits, feature interactions) to understand how the product is being used and to improve it.
All data is stored with a managed database provider. Your data is encrypted at rest and in transit using industry-standard TLS. Access to your data is controlled by row-level security: only your account (and any members of your shared space if you've set one up) can read your policy data.
Policy documents you upload are processed by our AI extraction pipeline and then retained in secure cloud storage. You can delete any document or policy from the platform at any time.
Only you — and anyone you explicitly invite to share your policy space. Nanami staff do not have routine access to your policy documents or extracted data. Administrative access is restricted to operations strictly necessary to run and maintain the service.
Our AI extraction pipeline uses third-party AI processing providers to read and structure your documents. These providers handle data according to their own privacy policies and do not retain your data for model training under standard API usage terms. Some may process data on servers located outside Australia.
No. We never sell your personal data or policy information — not to insurers, brokers, advertisers, or data brokers. Your documents are processed by the operational service providers that run Nanami — hosting, document extraction, and email — described in our Privacy Policy, and only to provide the service to you.
Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. When you delete a policy or your account, the active data (uploaded files, extracted text, structured policy data, and your account record) is removed, and any residual copies held in platform backups are deleted within 30 days.
You can delete individual policies and documents from within the platform at any time. To delete your entire account and all associated data, go to Settings and select "Delete account". You can also contact us directly to request full data deletion.
Yes. Nanami is designed for Australian users and we comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). For more detail, see our full Privacy Policy.
Reach out via the feedback option in the platform, or email us directly. We're happy to answer any questions about how your data is handled.
